The bubbles of air rise to the top and are pulled through and ionizer before escaping back into the room. The air is clean and that helps prevent dust allergies. The material is trapped by the water and floats to the bottom of the tank. These filters are great for smaller spaces such as a the desk of your home office or to use beside your bed to help limit your allergies.
