The Power of Permissions for Healing May Be in the Name

As a practitioner of energy healing modalities these past 15+ years, I’ve learned a great deal about the importance of having permission from your client. It may seem obvious that someone going to the trouble of making an appointment and driving to the office has given permission for healing. What most people don’t realize, and what I’ve learned, is there is both conscious and subconscious permission… and they may differ from each other.

When someone is told they are ill, they usually want to get well. Being sick is absolutely no fun and, depending upon the illness, the medical treatment can make you feel worse… much worse. As I’ve worked with people to assist them in balancing their mental, emotional, spiritual and physical selves, a barrier is sometimes reached. This barrier can often be about permission to heal.

An example is a woman who belonged to a Catholic religious order. Although she now used her baptismal name, for a number years she had what is called a religious name given to her by the community she belonged to. I don’t know what happened in those years when she didn’t have her baptismal name, but the lack of permission to heal went back to that time. This was verified with muscle testing. Using a modality known as the BodyTalk System, I removed the energy block originating in that time period that was preventing continued balancing the body.

Something similar occurred with another client. This time the permissions needing to be cleared had to be done with her maiden name. With still another individual, removing the energy blockage had to be done with the name on the birth certificate and not with the nick-name she was now called.

This may seem strange, but if you have an understanding of the energy of your name, it will make sense. As a kid you may have been known as Johnny. Using this name, you had a particular identity. When you changed what you were called to John, you changed the energy surrounding you. Little Johnny may have been ill often, but John is rarely ill. Little Johnny may have been under his parent’s control, but John was self-sufficient.

If the source of the energy blockage causing the imbalance displaying itself as illness occurred to Johnny, there may not be permission to clear the blockage on that level. Johnny may have had a pay-off, perhaps additional attention, to being sick and wouldn’t want to give up that advantage. The adult, however, wants to put aside the problems of the child, so he is ready for healing. Clearing the energy of the child under the name he was called at the time can greatly facilitate balancing resulting in resolution of the physical disorder.
