Things You Should Know Before Getting A Tattoo
At one point of time or the other, every teen gets tempted to get his or her body tattooed or pierced. But do they ever care to know the risks involved in it? Or what should they do if they ever want to get rid of the piercing or the tattoo on their body?
Tattoos, once engraved on the skin become permanent. They are actually done by injecting pigments of color into your skin using needles, and hence can last for a lifetime. It is the capability of the tattoo designer to work out beautifully on the designs.
You should have a clear idea of tattoos that are created in your body. An apparatus containing dyes, and fitted with a needle on the top, pierces your body, some thing like a cloth under a sewing machine, for several times. In this way it injects the dye in to your skin and makes a permanent design. The tattooing thing may hurt you a lot and even make your bleed at times. It takes a lot of time for the larger tattoos to be designed and there are various sessions involved for it.
What are the risks of getting a tattoo?
Since your skin is pierced by a needle which is dipped in the dye might get you a skin infection.
You run the risk of getting affected by many of the diseases like HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and other blood related problems as the needle comes in close contact with your blood.
You might even get rashes for using the red dyes in the tattoo you put on.
There are high chances of getting affected by bacteria, as the needle has pierced many more skins before it is piercing yours.
There might be allergic reactions due to the colors and that can trouble you for years to come.
You will have to follow a cleaning and maintaining process, particularly in the beginning, to avoid inviting unwanted health problems. Ask the tattoo designer for the instructions. Apply a lot of skin care solutions and avoid exposing your tattoo to the sun.
It might take a bit long for the tattoos to heal, do not take a pick at it, but give it a little time.
What if for one reason or the other you want your tattoo removed?
Removing a tattoo from the skin is quite dangerous, as it might leave a permanent scar on the skin and might even lead to discolorations.
No matter what method you choose, is it a laser treatment, wherein you might have to take a long treatment; or Dermabrasion, in which your skin is numbed and sanded down; or surgically, they are going to leave a permanent mark of the tattoo.
